Not in my yard....

The kids and I were walking along the creek that runs next to Shadow Mountain drive. There was snow on the ground and we were coming up to a post & barbwire fence. When we were still 50 feet or so away from it a woman was standing there, hands on hips, telling us that we were not allowed in her yard (the fenced area). We told her that we had no intention of trespassing and headed back the other way. Somehow we got off the path and were climbing on very steep terrain. Matthew and one of the others were climbing it just fine but it was giving me vertigo and I was afraid of falling off. I decided to backtrack in order to take a less steep route and closed my eyes and slid back along the way we had come. I was then able to go back on the original path that avoided the steep parts and was very relieved.
